Thank you for all the Mother’s Day love. The hospital and Ronald McDonald really went all out to make their mamas feel appreciated.
Dana opened our apartment door to find two HUGE packages from an assortment of donors. There was a Mother’s Day brunch and crafts. I felt very spoiled.
The best part? I’ve been encouraged to go home EVERY night!!!!!!! My terror of moving to this new floor has slowly melted away. Every night, I timidly work up the courage to ask the night nurse how many kids she/he has to watch tonight and if she/he thinks it’s okay if I leave. I breathe such a sigh of relief when they reassuringly tell me to “get outta here!”
Maeve has been doing wonderfully. We’re down to two IV meds and fever free! We get to go for walks outside and I even found a snap romper that accommodates all her wires!
Still no date for Gtube surgery. The doctors on this floor hinted that if a date isn’t set for this week, they’ll consider flying us home to CHEO to do that surgery.
Enough of that.... let’s see pictures!!!
Sweet faces! Love you all.
